Greetings to all:
Winter is here! Thanks to a little help from Mother Nature and Snowbird's always improving snowmaking capacity, the lifts are open. Although terrain availability is currently limited, conditions will continue to get better with each new snowfall.
- The Iron Blosam is starting its 32nd year of operation and as timeshares go, we are one of the oldest timeshares in North America. Over the years we have worked to keep the Iron Blosam updated while still retaining its rugged, historic charm that is its heritage. Now that we have entered the wireless computer age, one of our biggest and most recently completed projects was the fall maintenance week installation of a new wireless Internet system. We now provide all owner rooms and common areas of the Iron Blosam with wireless Internet access. And yes, it is free for all our Owners.
-
In addition, we also completed another block of kitchen counter renovations and kitchen floor renovations. Currently, all the suites, studios and north side efficiency units are completed with new floors and counter tops. The remaining units will be completed over the next two years.
Please, as owners we want to remind you that it is your responsibility to be informed.
We appreciate our owners that take the time to periodically review our House Rules and the Association's policies and regulations. They are enacted to help everyone enjoy their valuable vacation time and to protect their financial investment at the Iron Blosam.
Please make careful note of your dates of ownership.
When you receive your reservation confirmation, make careful notes of the dates of your week(s). Each year some owners arrive on the wrong week. As Iron Blosam is 100% sold out, it is very difficult for our staff to assist with unexpected arrivals of this nature. Iron Blosam weeks begin with the first Saturday of each new year. In 2006 the first Saturday was January 7th, therefore your weeks may seem later than usual. Please note that in 2007, January 6th will be the start of week 1. Again, please make careful notes of your dates.
- Naturally, all of us are concerned about escalating costs and there are ways that you, as an owner, can help us control costs. The cost for providing electrical and natural gas to the Iron Blosam exceeds $350,000.00 annually. We want to continually remind all of our visitors that every bit helps. Just a small reduction in energy consumption alone can save our Association thousands of dollars each year.
The following are areas that, with help and cooperation, could save you money!
Each unit and our facilities are subject to occupancy restrictions that are established for the safety, welfare and quiet enjoyment of all persons. Additionally, units that exceed the established occupancy create extra demands for energy and other amenities. Per Documentation, units shall have a maximum occupancy of no more than four persons per room (lofts equal two units).
* During cooler periods, set the thermostat to 65 degrees when leaving the room.
*
Please turn off all unnecessary lights and appliances.
*
Turn off your fireplace when leaving the room or sleeping.
*
Please make the most of your linen/towel inventory. Limit towel and linen exchanges to three per week.
* During the day when your are not in the unit, we suggest you keep your curtains closed.
Once again we look forward to seeing all our fall friends soon. We hope that you will assist in our efforts to maintain the quality of the Iron Blosam. As always, if we may be of any assistance to you, please take the time to contact us.
Best regards
Jim Maxwell
