Welcome to the Iron Blosam

Summer 2008

Greetings to all:

The snow is melting and the canyon gets greener every day. The summer season has begun. As of late May, the Snowbird mountains still have over 100 inches of snow at mid mountain. The downside of a large snow year is that it does make it more difficult for Snowbird to open some of its summer amenities. The tentative opening date for the Tram and other resort amenities and activities has been scheduled for June 14th. Be sure to visit www.Snowbird.com for the latest updates prior to your next visit.

This May we completed many work projects during our Spring Maintenance week including:

*The last phase of the kitchen counter renovation has been completed.

*The 2nd and 3rd floor hallways have new carpet.

*The elevator interiors and outside frames have been renovated.

*Chairs in the loft units have been replaced.

*In addition, we completed painting in a number of areas, carpet cleaning, window washing, and various repairs and detail cleaning.

*As Iron Blosam is in need of extensive concrete repairs, this work was begun, but will continue on during the summer periods. We will work to minimize any inconveniences, but this work is necessary to maintain our facilities.

Year round, the Iron Blosam is a very busy and highly occupied lodge; it is important that we maximize our time during the maintenance week. As this time is limited, we do many projects and renovations in phases. Please be patient as we work to keep Iron Blosam updated and well maintained.

It is also important that as owners you remain aware of Iron Blosam House Rules and Policies. Communication pieces are included with your confirmation mailings, annual statements and meeting notices. Please take the time to read this information. Owners that violate policies detract from the enjoyment of everyone’s valuable vacation time and potentially incur additional costs for the Association. It is important that we all work together to keep Iron Blosam the special place that it is.

Pool safety and hygiene is an important issue this summer. Please note that the Salt Lake County has added new rules for pools this summer. Children 3 years and under are required to wear swim diapers and plastic liners. It is important that owners assists us in adhering to the new County Regulations.

We are continuing expansion of our technical capabilities and establishment of e-mail communications with our owners. Work continues on our e-mail database that will enable us to communicate with our owners more quickly and effectively. Reducing paper waste can help us cut costs for postage and supplies. If you have not provided us with an e-mail address, please do so at your earliest opportunity.

One last reminder… we want to hear from you! We love to hear from our owners regarding your time at the Iron Blosam.

Once again, we look forward to seeing all of our summer friends soon. As always, if we may be of any assistance to you, please contact us.

Best regards
Jim Maxwell
